Fast For Connor!

We know its last minute but we are going to have a special fast for our sweet baby Connor tom. Sunday May 31st! Pass it on!! Anyone that wants to participate would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks for everyones prayers and support!

Ups and Downs!

One of the hardest things about having a baby in the NICU is how quick they can go up and down, however Connor hasn't had to many downs, but when he does it is emotionally draining. Today he had a really good day, with lots of visitors. He got to see Papa, Meme, Gr. and Gr. Goobie, Grammy, aunt Wendy,Vanessa, and Jenny, as well as some of his cousins Nico, Maddie, Abbie, and Emmie. Today there were two highlights for baby Connor. We never thought that as parents we would be so excited to see poop. For NICU babies, it is hard for them to have a bowel movement, but today was a big stepping stone for him and was able to go poop- he even inspired mommy to go for the first, time since delivery to, and today he got his first bath given by mommy!! Also today he weighed in at 1 pound 2 ounces. Our little boy is growing!!! Thanks for you continual thoughts and prayers!

Address for Jessica, Nate and Connor

Hi All,

I have taken over Connor's blog for 30 brief seconds to reply to many of you with an address for Jessica. Please send all cards and/or gifts to my house. I will get everything to Jessica in a timely manner, one that will be much more consistent than the hospital service. She will be moving around quite a bit for the next few weeks so our house is best. My address is:

2920 North 1000 East
North Logan, UT 84341

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me and I would love to help.

Thanks for all of your love, support and prayers.

Love to All!!!

450 grams!!!

Our wedding rings fit around his wrist.

We never thought that we would be so excited to hear the measurment of 450 grams, which equals 1 lb. We found out today that our baby boy has reached 1 FULL POUND. Connor had a pretty good day today, little ups and downs, but great results from his head ultrasound. So far his brain shows no signs of any bleeding, which is a big concern in babies this little. we spent some time with him today and daddy got to hold him,
and mommy got to change his diaper.
We can't wait till we can see him in the morning and hope for an even better day tomorrow.
He already has mommy and daddy wrapped around his little fingers and we don't plan on letting go either!!

Connor Suel Dana!!!

The Stork has delivered our package, But with overnight shipping! After a very scary week of having me come down with severe Pre-eclampsia and being life flighted to the hospital in Ogden, our baby arrived very pre-maturely. We were blessed with Connor on May 25th, 2009 at 12:57 pm. He was only 14 oz and 10.5 inches long! However he truly proves that great things come in small packages! He is such a fighter! My little "rockstar", as we like to call him! Although his body is so tiny, He really is doing great so far! Developementally, he is doing great, he just needs to start gaining weight! We feel so blessed to have him in our lives and cant wait to watch every day how his little body grows and progresses through this trial in his life! I have no doubt that he is strong enough for this, but it will just be a long, hard road! He will be in the amazing N.I.C.U. here at Mckay Dee Hospital for quite a while so he can get the best care that he needs! So far he is pushing on through and hanging in there! The Nurses say that hes even a fiesty little guy and is going to give us a run for our money when hes older!

Yesterday was a great day for baby Connor and for Mommy! Im doing much better! My body is recovering great and getting to see my baby helps so much! Here are a few pictures of our interactive time with the baby yesterday! I got to hold him im my hands for a few minutes and he was so responsive to mommy and daddy's voices. He also opened his eyes for the first time!! He changes so much from day to day. We know that there will be good days and bad days, but we are cherishing that yesterday was so great! Thanks for everyone's love and support through all of this.

Stay tuned for frequent updates on our sweet baby boy!
