Were sorry to report....

I guess its just not time for Connor to be a big brother. For those of you that knew that we were expecting baby # 2, We jumped the gun in announcing. We are no longer pregnant. We unfortunately had a miscarriage. The bean had stopped developing at about 4.5 weeks so it had never really developed into an actual baby. We just thought that everyone should know, so we can avoid awkward conversations about this pregnancy later. Thanks for all your love and prayers.

The second blessing!

Connor's official due date was earlier this month on the 6th, of september! The day was rough as we attended a baby blessing, but it was a good mile stone to have behind us! Little did we know, that we were already growing a new little baby. We miss Connor everyday! But being pregnant again has already softened that hurt. We will always miss and love our first brave sonwho we will see again, but we are very excited to be able to have the next one on the way. Although we are very nervous for the outcome of this pregnancy, we are thrilled to be expecting again! We feel content that everything will work out. And if we have learned anything from this experience, it's that we are not in control. So heavenly father has to make it work out and we trust him. As we build our house and my bodu builds a baby we are in for some adventure for the next eight months, but we wouldnt have it any other way! Thanks again for all the love and support weve had from so many friends and family! We will keep you updated on our progress. We love you baby Connor!!! and thanks for sending us a sibling!

It’s Wendy (Jess’ sister) here again. This is my final post here on Jess and Nate’s blog. I have come for two very important reasons. First, I would like to publicly express my heartfelt gratitude for all of your support, prayers, visits, gifts, cards, hugs, tears, words of encouragement and most importantly, your love for Jess and Nate. This has been a whirlwind month and we could not have made it through without all of you. Jess and Nate are so blessed to have such great friends and family.

Secondly, I need to ask for one last bit of help. Jess and Nate are desperately trying to put together the funds to purchase sweet Connor’s headstone. Never having done something like this, I was shocked when I learned how much a funeral costs. We have been able to cover a large portion of the expense, but we have come up short. Families Are Forever

Sweet baby Connor returned to live with his Heavenly Father today. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the Logan City Cemetery. Please continue to pray for Jessica and Nate during this hard time.

Ups and Downs!

One of the hardest things about having a baby in the NICU is how quick they can go up and down, however Connor hasn't had to many downs, but when he does it is emotionally draining. Today he had a really good day, with lots of visitors. He got to see Papa, Meme, Gr. and Gr. Goobie, Grammy, aunt Wendy,Vanessa, and Jenny, as well as some of his cousins Nico, Maddie, Abbie, and Emmie. Today there were two highlights for baby Connor. We never thought that as parents we would be so excited to see poop. For NICU babies, it is hard for them to have a bowel movement, but today was a big stepping stone for him and was able to go poop- he even inspired mommy to go for the first,time since delivery to, and today he got his first bath given by mommy!! Also today he weighed in at 1 pound 2 ounces. Our little boy is growing!!! Thanks for you continual thoughts and prayers!
